5P has been talking about Parliament and had set our room like the House of Representatives

Parliament  has 2 rooms called the Senate which is red and the House of Representatives which is green. The House of Representatives can fit 150 members.

Parliament House is in Canberra. In Parliament when the speaker walks in  everyone stands up. If you don’t stand up you could get kicked out.

When the speaker walks in and says “parliament is now in session” you can sit down.

In parliament you can be evicted if you say or do the wrong  thing.

Making a Law

What we have learnt from this is how to make a law.

To make a law you need to pronounce the law/bill which is then debated on. In your debating session you can add little bits which is called amendment to the law. Then then law will be voted on.

You vote by:

If you agree with the law you say”aye”

If you disagree you say “no”

That’s how to make a law.
