Percentages can be nearly based around everything.
They are based on Cooking, Sales, Surveys, Elections and Ipad percentages in battery and more.
Percentages are based on maths that is fractions to make a percentage you need to this for EG: 6/8 you would do 6➗8=0.75
then you would times that by 100 so it would be 62.5.%
To get a percentages you need to know your Fractions, Division and Multiplication.

During my weekly visit, I was thoroughly impressed by the various methods the students in 5P were utilising in order to question and gather data, then record and explain ‘decimals and percentages’.
What may have started with pen and paper soon shifted to the use of technology with some educated results.
